Join us for a festive day dedicated to the power of stories and the joy of reading in French. Families, teachers, and young readers are invited to explore our free French book fair, with the opportunity to discover and purchase titles from Louisiana and beyond. Expect a lively atmosphere with children’s activities like face painting, food vendors, and plenty of chances to connect with fellow book lovers.
At 11am, children from Hynes and Audubon Schools on stage reading books from Ecole des Max
At 12:15pm, French immersion kids band "Mardi de Musique" will be performing.
At 1pm, don’t miss our Concours de Saynètes. This unique competition invites immersion classes to step on stage and bring a youth book to life. In just five minutes, students imagine, adapt, and perform a scene inspired by their chosen story — in front of their peers and a distinguished jury.
At 2pm, we'll announce a very special program we are launching with our Haitian friends from Twin Sisters Reunited
At 3pm, a French brass band will play the grand finale of this amazing day !
Kids and families will also enjoy French crepes by Crepes Rendez-Vous.
This Open Day is more than an event: it’s part of a mission.

-
