Alan Nobili
Executive Director
Alan studied at ESCP Business School in Paris and worked in Reunion Island, Tahiti, Switzerland, England, and Germany. He led the Alliance Française du Manitoba from 2015 to 2019, then joined the Alliance Française de Paris executive board. Passionate about arts, history, and music, he moved with his family—and his vinyl collection—to New Orleans, where he now serves as Executive Director of AFNO.
Sarah Mahoney
School Coordinator
Sarah has lived in France for over six years and teaches beginners and children at the Alliance Française. She guides students to the right service—group courses, private lessons, exams—and brings warmth and creativity to every interaction. Passionate about singing and French culture, she also leads workshops in schools, making learning joyful and often musical.

Virginie brings warmth and, efficiency to everything she does at

Raymond Price
Cultural Outreach
Raymond is a Loyola graduate, passionate about Louisiana French culture, who began his career as a multimedia journalist and anchor before teaching French and English. His background in media, communication, and cultural outreach shapes his work at the Alliance Française, where he coordinates events and shares his expertise.
Octave Preget
Marketing Coordinator
Octave has worked with the French Consulate in New Orleans and Toulouse Métropole. As Marketing Coordinator, he manages communications, events, and partnerships, bringing creativity and an international outlook. Passionate about French culture, he combines strategy and enthusiasm to grow AFNO’s reach
Laurence Lechat
Teaching Support
Laurence Lechat, from Saumur, France, holds a French as a Foreign Language degree from the University of Angers. She has taught at Audubon Charter School since 2006. With 15 years’ experience teaching in several countries, she shares her language and culture and mentors Du Ganzhi from Fujian, China.
